MAINTENANCE

Maintenance, while being very important to the well being of your vehicle, can also be expensive.  At Mullen's Garage we understand this and can set up a plan that will break these needed items into several visits instead of a "BIG" chunk at one time.  We have been maintaining vehicles for over 78 years and can handle whatever needs you may have.  We look forward to keeping you on the road, worry free and safe.

               FLUIDS

Fluids are the life blood of your vehicle. Clean fluid not only lubricates but also cools the component that uses it.  Todays modern fluids are very specialized oils that are made to last a long time before servicing.  Even though these fluids last a long time, regular changes of these oils can prolong the life of your vehicle.  We can determine the correct type and amount of specialty fluids that are required to maintain your vehicle and keep it running for many miles.

Avoid "wallet flushing".  This is the practice of many "quota shops" whereby they recommend flushes based upon the need to fatten the wallets of the service writer and technicians.

Flushes should only be done when recommended by the manufacturer or when the fluid is dirty or contaminated.

           TUNE-UP

Regular tune-ups are the best way to keep your vehicle's mileage and performance at its peak.  Later model vehicles do not need a tune-up as frequently as their predecessors.  Many of today's vehicles can go as many as 100k miles before needing a tune-up.

Fuel injection is somewhat of a bullet proof system lasting many miles before needing repair.  Regular cleaning of the injectors insures that the fuel is being atomized correctly to give the best possible bang for the buck.  Fuel mileage can actually suffer from dirty injectors and can often lead to a dreaded check engine light.

We have several ways to clean injectors including BG products and Snap-On's famous MotorVac system.

       TIRES & CHASSIS

Tires are your vehicle's only contact with the road. A good tire will have a wide contact with the pavement and the best tire of course is a properly inflated tire which gives the best grip.  While we are on the subject of tire inflation,  BEWARE, you may be told that nitrogen is best for your tires.   It is the latest "gimmick" in the tire industry, adding at least $10 to the cost of each tire.   Don't fall for it. Oh,  they will hate me for that one.   Oh well, I tell it like it is.

Tires come in a wide range of types, styles and prices.  We can handle most all your tire needs.   We carry  many different brands of tires to suit all budgets.
